More than 90% of books never cross 1,000 sales.

Every author gets warned about the blank page. Nobody warns you about what comes after it.

Most self-published authors sell around 250 copies. Ever. Sadder still: most of those go to friends and family, not the readers and clients the book was written for.

So "your first 1,000 books" isn't a modest goal. It's the tier most authors never reach. And it's the tier where a book starts paying you back: speaking revenue, corporate contracts, future book deals, real industry authority.

None of this is a reflection of your book, or of you. Writing a book and selling a book are two different skills, and you were only taught one of them.

It's a systems problem. And systems problems have solutions.

It's a systems problem. And systems problems have solutions.

Launched on hope, a book becomes a very expensive pet project.

I don't say that to scare you. I say it because I've watched too many brilliant experts pour their heart and life's work into a book that ended up costing more than it earned them. (If you've published a book before, you may have felt this yourself.)

Here's how it happens on the default path:

The money flows out, and nothing flows back.

Editing, design, printing, maybe a publicist. Launched without a plan, a business book turns into a big, frustrating expense line instead of a business asset. The most expensive two-year project you've ever taken on.

The payoff you actually wrote it for never arrives.

You didn't write this for royalties. You wrote it for what 1,000 real readers unlock: the stages, the podcast circuit, the client conversations, the industry-authority trajectory. That payoff doesn't come from writing well. It comes from launching well.

The friends-and-family ceiling.

Without a system, the default arc is a bump from your generous network, then the flatline. That's how books end at 250 copies. Not because they're bad, but because nobody ran a campaign behind them.

And the "obvious" fix is priced out of reach.

A professional launch team runs $10K to $25K a month, often $15K–$20K+ all-in, over three to six months. That math works for a Fortune 500 budget. Not for an expert launching a book to grow their own business.

Your readers are already on LinkedIn. Let's go get them.

If you wrote a nonfiction or business book, your buyers aren't on BookTok. They're among the 65 million+ decision-makers already on LinkedIn, an audience with roughly 2x the buying power of the average web user.

If you wrote a nonfiction or business book, your buyers aren't on BookTok. They're among the 65 million+ decision-makers already on LinkedIn, an audience with roughly 2x the buying power of the average web user.

And here's the part that should make you optimistic:

The shelf is crowded (18,000+ business and leadership books hit the market in 2025, and that's just the traditionally published ones), but the feed isn't.

Only about 3% of LinkedIn users post weekly. An author who shows up consistently, with a system, stands out fast. Whatever their follower count.

You don't need the $20K team. You need what that team actually does, aimed at the readers who are already here: the sequence, the assets, the week-by-week plan.

That's exactly what this is.

What he ran

This playbook. A weekly LinkedIn newsletter (The Breach Brief) feeding his posts. Personal stories mixed into the teaching content, pulling 4 to 5x the engagement. A system that kept working after launch week instead of stopping there.

What happened

1,300+ copies sold in five months. A growing newsletter. And a keynote at SecureWorld, book in hand, with the speaking flywheel doing exactly what it's built to do.

What changed for him wasn't talent. It was a system.

Your LinkedIn Live has co-presenters, an audience, and a run-of-show. A real conversation about your topic, not a book birthday party.

Tuesday morning, your launch post goes out. Your ambassadors post theirs: you handed them everything weeks ago. By Thursday, reviews are landing on Amazon. Not three. Dozens. Written before launch day, released on cue.

Then comes the part most authors never experience. It doesn't stop:

DFY launch system for nonfiction and business authors

This is not a course you watch, per se. It's a campaign you run: Kait builds a book launch in front of you, and you duplicate every piece for your own.

Because a book is two things at once: a marketing vehicle for you, and a product that needs marketing itself. Most authors work one and neglect the other. This system runs both.

You duplicate one Book Launch Workspace in Notion, pick the runway that matches your pub date (3, 6, or 12 months), and work from a week-by-week calendar where every task links to its lesson and its ready-to-use template. Kait teaches across 40 short videos.

The vault holds the rest: emails written, posts drafted, trackers built, scripts ready. You customize to your voice, and you launch. You never start from a blank page.

The vault holds the rest: emails written, posts drafted, trackers built, scripts ready. You customize to your voice, and you launch. You never start from a blank page.

Here's how it works:

1

Set your foundation.

Define the one outcome your book exists to drive, set up your Scorecard, and map your content.

2

Pick your track.

3, 6, or 12 months, matched to your pub date. Filter to that track, follow the plan.

3

Run the engine.

Build your ambassador crew, publish from the content system, and prep a Live that sells books.

4

Launch. Then keep selling.

Launch week is choreographed hour by hour. Then the flywheel takes over: reviews, speaking, bulk orders, steady weekly sales.

Your launch, phase by phase

Here's the step-by-step nobody was showing you. Whichever track you choose, your calendar moves through the same proven sequence:

Pre-Work

Build your ambassador list and foundation before the clock starts

Awareness (Weeks 1–4)

Announce the book exists, share the journey behind it

Anticipation (Weeks 5–8)

Build the energy, secure co-presenters, prep the Live

Authority (Weeks 9–11)

Proof, pre-orders, early reviews, credibility stacking

Launch Week (Week 12)

The Live, the launch post, ambassador activation, reviews on cue

Flywheel

Speaking, bulk orders, and sales that keep compounding

No guessing. No hunting for the right template. You open your calendar and it tells you what this week looks like.

Hi, I'm Kait

As soon as I entered corporate America, I hatched my exit strategy. Working on someone else's time clock just wasn't for me.

So I built my brand on LinkedIn and turned my passion for branding into a decade of helping brilliant professionals clearly communicate their value.

Early on, I worked with two experts who had deep knowledge and zero visibility. We rewired their message, helped them publish a book, and watched them become titans in their industry. Almost overnight: the Today Show, industry keynotes, and the kind of compensation their work had always deserved.

That's when I saw what a book can do for an expert. When there's a system selling it.

Today, I teach that framework to 55,000+ professionals through my newsletter and programs. I've spent 10+ years building personal brands that pay. And I've watched too many good books go unsold for one reason: the author was taught to write, never to sell.

Nobody says best-writing author. They say bestselling author.

Selling is a learnable skill. This is where you learn it.

Done with your manuscript, or in its final stretch, with a publication date at least 90 days out

Launching a book to build authority and grow your business, not just collect royalties

Self-published, hybrid, or traditionally published (all three work here)

Ready to work a weekly system instead of hoping the launch takes care of itself

This is NOT for you if:
This is NOT for you if:
This is NOT for you if:

You write fiction/novels. This system sells through professional authority on LinkedIn, not TikTok.

You wrote a memoir (unless it's business-focused). Your buyer here needs a professional reason to pick up the book.

Your book publishes in under 90 days. Momentum needs runway, and we'd rather tell you now.

Your book is already published. This is a launch system: it works before pub day, not after.

You want the book to sell itself. This is done-for-you, not done-without-you: it runs on a newsletter and a few posts a week, from you.

kait card image
This is STILL for you even if:

Your LinkedIn following is small. The system is built to work as you grow it. Only ~3% of users post weekly; consistency stands out fast.

You think "I'm a writer, not a marketer." Almost everything is done for you. You customize to your voice; you don't create from scratch.

Promoting yourself makes you cringe. The method sells through authority and generosity. The book becomes the natural next step, never a hard ask.

You've posted before and nothing happened. Posting isn't a system. This gives you the sequence: positioning, content, and conversion.

You're worried AI is flooding your category. AI raises the noise. Which makes a trusted human author with a real audience more valuable, not less.

Answers to your questions

Answers to your questions

Do you teach how to write or publish a book?

No, and on purpose. This isn't a writing course or a publishing walkthrough. You bring the book (finished, or in final edits with a pub date at least 90 days out), and the system handles everything that comes after: the audience, the launch, and the sales.

"I don't have a big LinkedIn following."

You don't need one to start. The system is built to work as you grow, and it's about reaching the right professional readers, not a vanity follower count. Since only ~3% of LinkedIn users post weekly, a consistent author stands out faster than you'd think.

Isn't LinkedIn for job seekers, not book buyers?

That was true a decade ago. Today it's where 65M+ decision-makers with above-average buying power spend their time. For a nonfiction or business book, that's your exact reader.

"I'll feel salesy."

The method sells through authority and generosity, not pitching. You share what you know, you build trust, and the book becomes the natural next step. It's also why the ambassador emails make one ask at a time: nobody on your list ever feels spammed, including you.

I've posted before and nothing happened.

Posting isn't a system. This gives you the exact sequence (positioning, content, conversion) plus the actual posts, so you're never guessing what to say or when to say it.

$500 plus my time. Will it actually pay back?

Nobody can promise your exact numbers. But run the comparison: a launch team costs $15K–$20K a month, one playbook student sold 1,300+ copies in five months, and a single corporate bulk order can cover the course several times over. Think of it as insurance on the book you already spent months writing.

How much time does this take?

A few focused hours to set up each phase, then a weekly rhythm your calendar drives: one newsletter, three posts pulled from it, and roughly 30 minutes of ambassador upkeep. Every task is scheduled and linked to its template.

Is my book the right fit?

This is built for nonfiction and business books heading toward a launch. It's not for fiction, not for memoir (unless it's business-focused), not for books that are already out, and not for anyone publishing in under 90 days, because momentum needs runway. If that rules you out today, better to know now.

Won't AI make my nonfiction book irrelevant?

The opposite, if you play it right. AI floods the market with noise, and noise makes a trusted human author with a real audience more valuable, not less. This system is how you become that author.

When does it start, and what if I can't make the live sessions?

Doors close August 30 and the course launches August 31. The core material is self-paced, and the three founding-class coaching sessions (August 31, September 18, and October 2) are all recorded, with replays available.

You didn't write the book to keep it a secret…

You didn't write the book to keep it a secret…

You've seen the math: most books never cross 1,000 copies. You've seen what a system did for Zach. And you know the book you poured yourself into deserves better than a launch-week spike.

One system. Every email, post, and week already built. A founding class moving together, and 3 live sessions with someone who's spent a decade turning expertise into influence.

The only question left is whether your book launches on hope, or launches on a system.

Ready to be the bestselling author, not just the best-writing one?

P.S. The Founding Class closes August 30 and this price doesn't come back. After the beta, the course moves to its evergreen rate: at least $997. If you're publishing in the next 3 to 12 months, this is the best-supported, best-priced version of this system that will ever exist.

P.P.S. Remember the base rate: most self-published authors sell around 250 copies, ever. Zach Lewis sold 1,300+ in five months with this playbook. The difference wasn't talent. It was a system.
